Love Coffee and Be Present

I believe everyone who knows me also know that I am always down for a cup of coffee. It’s about time to tell you why am I so obsessed with it. Do I just love the taste of the coffee so much or am I just addicted to it. Well, maybe it’s both ?!?
There are different kind of coffee drinkers:

  • the ones who grab it from Starbucks/Coffee-In/R-Kiosk/The Coffee Bean
  • the ones who go sit down in a coffee shop
  • the ones who take it with them in the morning while in a hurry
  • the ones who drink it at work just to keep they’re eyes open
  • the ones who absolutely need it as a motivation to get out of the bed

Should there be only one option? Absolutely not, I am all of those!
But for me, it is something more than just a drink. It is something that will allow me to sit down and just enjoy being in the moment, to be present. Even if I grab a coffee from Starbucks, I will go find a quiet corner to be on my own. Plus, coffee has all those extra values, like: caffeine, to keep me awake and a good taste.
Drinking coffee is like a ritual I have created for myself, I look forward to it every single day. I enjoy drinking my coffee from a mug/pretty cup, the prettier the mug/cup, the better the taste and the valuable the moment is.( another way to think about this is if you’d rather drink your wine out of a glass or straight from the bottle) Drinking coffee from a mug/pretty cup allows to enjoy it more and create a zen moment for myself.
I feel like in those busy days we all have, we forget to breathe, to feel ourselves being present and do a little evaluation check, where am I/why am I here/What to Do.

Drinking coffee is the cheapest therapy for me. Paying a few euros/dollars every day is totally worth it. This is my experience about slowing down my day, my year, my life. Writing down my values, what I appreciate, what I have scheduled; or just stare at this cat (down below) my lovely co-worker drew for me 🙂

Rushing the things we love isn’t making us any happier. Maybe instead of trying to handle everything, we should take the small steps every day to enjoy the ride this life has to offer.

Be Crazy


That’s what you’re telling me?
That’s all you got?

To be honest: YES. We’ll it’s not all, but it’s important.

Don’t be afraid of being crazy. You learn by doing, some things we do are crazy (or even stupid), but if we learn/get a lesson while doing it, then they’re GOOD crazy.
(Me quitting a job in Los Angeles and moving to Estonia. GOOD crazy. How do I know? I am happier here. Simple as that)
One good way I have discovered is that when I am confident in my doings (even if they’re crazy/stupid) and I get feedback like “This is so stupid”. Well, do I care? No. Why, you may ask?
Because I already know that it was stupid. I am comfortable with that 🙂

I believe that my heart desires of doing stupid things, it makes me feel free, it makes me happy. And if I can make others happy/smile doing my crazy things. Then IT’S A DAY WELL SPENT.

I appreciate people for their honesty and individuality. I get comfortable with people who are a little stupid/crazy, just like myself. I like those kind of people, because they are not afraid of being silly, being their-selves.  If you are like this, I LIKE YOU.


So I encourage you to find your own kind of crazy to enjoy this Valentine’s day with. (Or just make them go crazy 😀 )

Saturday afternoon and the weather is like this. Cannot get any better! (Who am I kidding, I am a typical Estonian and there’s always something to complain about: WHERE’s THE SUN)

Why I walk you may ask, I give you a couple decent reasons.
I walk to burn calories and to move my body. It is the cheapest form of exercise. No need for a gym membership, no need for work-out clothes. Walking is doable in any clothing.
I walk to energize and inspire myself. I have discovered that a lot of good ideas happen throughout my walk. Luckily I have my phone with me, so I can take some notes.
I walk, so that I could see people and say “Tere”/”Hello” to them and it’s a fun experiment actually. I found that 3 out of 5 will say “Tere”/”Hello” back to me and they smile afterwards. That makes my day and gives me an opportunity to make their day brighter. (My own small way to change the world and give some positivity to it). OR maybe they’re just thinking who the f* am I.
I walk to be alone. Don’t get me wrong here, I like people and communicating. But sometimes I need some alone time. Just me, myself and I.
I walk to take pictures and share some of them.
I walk so that I would have an excuse to put headphones on and listen to that freakin’ good song I found yesterday.
I walk to go to the Famous chocolate store in Estonia. KALEV. And buy myself  a chocolate bar, cause I deserve it. OH. Since it’s Valentine’s day month, they let you do a discount card for FREE. If you want to get 5% OFF from every purchase, go buy some chocolate THIS MONTH 🙂
I walk to get a compliment by Fitbit: GOOD JOB you accomplished your goal for the day.
